Coronation Street and Emmerdale star rushed to hospital after suffering ‘horrendous’ pain
Former Emmerdale and Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon revealed she was rushed to hospital after suffering ‘horrendous’ pain.
The soap actress, 47, took to her Instagram Story to share that she was sent to the medical ward and put on a drip.
She wrote: ‘Today. Woke up. Thought my head was gonna explode.Puked up twice. Took Jasper to nursery. Got ready for a photoshoot.
‘Got there and realised I really should see a doctor.”
She added: ‘Ended up in hospital on a drip for medication. It didn’t work. Head and neck pain still horrendous.
‘Had a scan. Got told I have arthritis. Came home. Picked Jasper up. Made tea. Put Jasper to bed.’
She concluded: ‘Took some tablets. had a cry. Going back to the hospital tomorrow. Life of a single working mum.’
Hayley has made several trips to hospital herself in the past, and in 2022 was treated for meningitis.
The actress posted a picture of herself on an IV drip, and later explained that she had contracted viral meningitis, and thanked staff at Blackpool hospital for looking after her.
Hayley played Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale from 2005 to 2007.
Poor Del was quite unlucky in love, and became embroiled in unsuccessful relationships with a number of the village men, including Carl King, Paddy Kirk and David Metcalfe.
In 2013, Hayley joined the cast of Coronation Street as Steve McDonald’s college classmate Andrea Beckett. In 2015, Andrea left the cobbles with boyfriend Lloyd Mullaney to start a new life elsewhere.
