Coronation Street confirms another emotional week for the residents of the cobbles, as seen in my new pictures, with an intense hostage situation of sorts plus three major returns.
Carla Connor (Alison King) has a lot on her plate ahead of her day in court and, with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) in Turkey, she’s struggling to stay on top of everything at the factory.
As a result, she takes her frustrations out on Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), who lets slip about the factory owner’s troubles with the law to a very important client.
Awks.
But there’s more upset to come for Carla, as she comes face-to-face with Tom, the father of the lad she knocked over, and he rails at her in court.
Later, Tom follows Carla back to the factory. Will Carla escape? Will DS Swain (Vicky Myers) be able to help?
That remains to be seen but everyone’s favourite DS is busy during the week in question, that’s for sure, as she gets a call from Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who is left horrified when downloading the files from Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) laptop.
Just what has Kit uncovered?
Elsewhere, Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) arrives back on the Street, as does Jesse (John Thomson), ex-boyfriend of Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) that was last seen over a decade ago.
Eileen and the Platts are as baffled by the comeback as we are, but Gail is quick to offer an explanation, revealing to Eileen that she and Jesse met a few years ago in Thailand.
The storyline in question will serve as Gail’s goodbye.
Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday, October 7 and Friday, October 11 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
