A new social media post from Waterloo Road’s Scarlett Thomas has left everyone saying the same thing about her Coronation Street mum.

Scarlett is the daughter of former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas and Tina O’Brien, who is of course best known for her role as Sarah Platt in the soap.

The mother and daughter duo often share what they get up to together on social media. Recently, Scarlett took to TikTok to share a brilliant video alongside her mum, with the song Made For Me by Muni Long playing in the background.

As the young actress lip syncs along to the lyrics, which include ‘Nobody knows me like you do, nobody gonna love me quite like you’, Tina can be seen sitting at the table as she watches Scarlett approach her for a hug.

Along with two white heart emojis, she also captioned the post: ‘POV It’s that time of day to annoy your mother when she finally gets some alone time’.

The comments section was full of messages from Scarlett’s followers about how she looks so much like her Corrie mum. Other responses also said: ‘Would love to know Tina’s secret to looking so young! Drop the skincare routine!’, and ‘Beautiful like her mum. Tina never ages’.

Scarlett has played the role of Izzy Charles in Waterloo Road since the show’s relaunch last year. She features alongside her uncle Adam Thomas who plays Izzy’s dad Donte, and Adam’s son Teddy, who plays Izzy’s sister Tommy.

In September, it was reported former EastEnders star Lindsey Coulson is set to join the cast of the school-based drama.

The star, best known for her role as Carol Jackson in the BBC One soap, is set to be swapping Walford for Waterloo Road’s school halls as their new headteacher.

Fans of Waterloo Road know comedian Jason Manford’s character Mr Savage is the current headteacher of the establishment, leaving many wondering what will lead to the newcomer’s departure after such a short period of time.
