Fan-favourite Coronation Street couple in devastating split as boyfriend is kicked out for sad reason
Coronation Street fans are set to be disappointed after a fan-favourite couple looked set to split in tonight’s episode.
Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) whole life changed overnight when a cosmetic procedure went wrong, and she was forced to undergo emergency surgery in Turkey.
Now, the family is faced with an enormous medical bill, and Bethany must adapt to living with a stoma bag – something that she is struggling with.
In recent scenes, things got even worse for her when she learnt that boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) had missed the initial calls from the hospital because he was with ex-girlfriend Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
In last night’s episode, Bethany made a shocking announcement that left Daniel stunned.
She revealed that she wasn’t the same person he had fallen in love with, and that because of her stoma bag, she saw herself and their relationship differently now.
As she pointed out that Daniel had previously loved Daisy and she felt he deserved better, he insisted that he didn’t want to be with Daisy, but with her.
However, Bethany was adamant that in six months time he wouldn’t be sticking around because he loved her, but because he felt like he couldn’t leave after everything.
Daniel promised that that wouldn’t be the case, but Bethany wouldn’t hear it.
She insisted that she needed time to think and demanded that Daniel get out.
Is this the end of their relationship, or will Daniel convince her to reconsider?
In upcoming scenes, Daisy catches wind of their break up and makes her way to the hospital to try and persuade Bethany not to call time on her relationship – but will Bethany listen to her love rival?
