Sarah’s terror that one of Coronation Street’s most violent killers will target the Platts
Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) has been left terrified in recent Coronation Street scenes after discovering that Damon Hay’s (Ciaran Griffiths) stolen money had gone missing.
Damon was jailed for his part in a robbery earlier this year, but managed to keep a large portion of the cash stashed away from the police.
When Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) suffered a medical emergency after failed liposuction treatment in Turkey, Damon heard about the Platts’ financial struggles and offered to give Sarah the money he had hidden away.
However, before Sarah had chance to accept, the money went missing.
In tonight’s episode, Sarah confided in Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that she was terrified that Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) and his cronies would come after her, believing that she had something to do with the cash being stolen.
When Adam asked her if she had any idea who may have taken it, she surprised him by suggesting mum Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) new boyfriend Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson).
She explained how Jesse kept talking about coming into some money, but refusing to disclose where it had come from.
It was then that Adam admitted that Jesse had walked in on a conversation between him and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) about the stash of money, and wondered if Jesse had heard more than they’d have wanted him to.

Later, Sarah visited brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and informed him of the situation, once again outlining her suspicions of Jesse.
David thought she was totally off the mark, but with the money still missing, Sarah insisted that he help her prove that Jesse is innocent, in order to get closer to finding the real culprit.
Will they find out what happened to the missing money, or is Sarah set to face the wrath of Harvey?
