Joel Deering (Calum Lill) has been murdered in Coronation Street, and soon new information is set to come to light that may point to his killer.

The body of the dastardly solicitor washed up in a river earlier this month, but the pathologist’s report later confirmed that he had been killed before entering the water.

So far, Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) investigation hasn’t led very far – but DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) may be set to uncover some information that could change that.

Having been taken off Joel’s case thanks to Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) involvement, Lisa is instead focusing on the case of a vandalised car.

However, she is shocked to realise that the car was damaged on the same road where Joel was attacked – and on the same night.

With the owner having reported hearing two men arguing outside his flat, Lisa’s interest is piqued.

Back on Coronation Street, Lisa confides in Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that the car was hit by a red car. When she later learns that Ronnie Bailey’s (Vinta Morgan) red car has been in for a repair, Lisa accosts him in the Rovers.

Later in the week, Lisa continues to interfere in Kit’s investigation into Joel’s death.

As she points out that Joel would have had personal belongings with him if he had planned to go on the run and suggests that finding those could point them to the killer, Kit is clearly annoyed by her interference.

When she later discovers that a formal complaint has been made against her, Lisa rails at Kit and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan). Is she set to find herself in serious trouble?
