Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was left terrified in Coronation Street earlier this week when her flat was raided by one of Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) cronies.

Harvey had found out that a huge sum of money had been stolen from him and assumed Sarah was to blame.

Sarah found out about the money when ex-boyfriend Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) offered to give it to her to help pay Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) medical bills.

He explained that he had managed to keep it hidden from police when he was arrested for armed robbery, but before Sarah could agree, the money went missing.

When Harvey sent a young lad to break into Sarah’s flat, he also had Damon attacked in prison, and left the rest of the Platts terrified that they might be next.

In last night’s episode, Sarah was able to put it all behind her when Damon called her up and informed her that he had managed to frame one of Harvey’s cronies for the theft.

However, viewers will know that the real culprit was David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), who planned on using the cash to buy his house from Gail Platt (Helen Worth).

Unfortunately for him, his hiding place for the stash wasn’t very secure, and it didn’t take Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson) long to find it.

Though at first Jesse threatened to tell Gail everything, after learning that the Platts were off the hook he pulled David aside and promised that they would sort out the cash together.

David was grateful, but can Jesse be trusted?
