Coronation Street star unrecognisable in violent new role 22 years after exit
A former Coronation Street star looks absolutely unrecognisable in his new Amazon Prime role.
Scott Wright, who is now 50, portrayed Sam Kingston in the ITV soap from 2000-2002.
He was a builder, mechanic, and stripper who performed under the name The Masked Python.
During the short period of time Sam was in Weatherfield, he started a relationship with Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor). Once that fizzled out, Sam left the cobbles for Ibiza.
Two decades on from the soap role, Scott is now preparing for the release of an Amazon Prime thriller called The Stoic.
The actor looks worlds away from his Corrie character in these snaps and his role is pretty dark too, as he portrays a character who massacres a group of young traffickers.
The Stoic will be released on the streaming site next Monday and also stars the likes of Declan Fletcher, Pete John Mansfield and Mia Vore.
