Coronation Street fans figure out Carla Connor revelation that unmasks Joel Deering’s ‘true killer’
Coronation Street fans think they’ve worked out who really killed Joel Deering (Calum Lill) in the ITV soap, and it isn’t one of the official suspects.
Joel was murdered at the end of September, after making plenty of enemies in Weatherfield.
The sinister solicitor was arrested after drugging Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) to induce early labour, hoping to get rid of her unborn baby and any evidence that linked him to her attack earlier this year.
After Joel failed to show up in court for his plea hearing, his body was found in a river, having succumbed to two blows to the head.
Now, fans think they know who delivered the fatal blows, after some subtle clues in recent scenes.
Coronation Street has been teasing viewers by using flashbacks to slowly reveal the true events on the night of Joel’s death.
Last week, Carla Connor (Alison King) was seen leaving Underworld, before spotting something, or someone.
Eagle-eyed Corrie fan Jess noticed that Carla was looking in the direction of the Platts house, where Lauren had heard a noise in the garden earlier that night.
‘We also know that Lauren didn’t sleep on the sofa and she stole Lisa’s mace!’ She added in a follow-up post on Twitter/X.
‘Carla’s flashback is the only one that has been so vague and not followed up, and Lauren is the only person who’s flashback we haven’t seen, and she is definitely a suspect!! WTF DID SHE SEE!!’
She also pointed out how Carla and Lauren appeared to have a ‘weird vibe’ when they made eye contact in a recent scene in the cafe, which could suggest that Carla saw Lauren up to no good…
Jess wasn’t the only fan to spot the animosity between the women, with Twitter/X user @phabiansz also questioning the look between them.
