After weeks of speculation, Coronation Street reveals who killed Joel in a special episode that will flashback to the night in question and document what really happened (Picture: ITV)
The moment of truth is almost upon us as Coronation Street reveals who killed Joel Deering (Calum Lill) next week, and you needn’t wait until then to glimpse what’s to come as my new spoiler pictures offer a first look.
The ITV soap has been unmissable for weeks following the disappearance of solicitor Joel, who was responsible for the vanishing and suspected murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
A big twist saw Lauren turn up alive and well – and her comeback unearthed plenty of secrets about Joel’s true nature, with the villain subsequently making a run for it, only to be found dead in the river.
Fans have been speculating about who claimed Joel’s life and all will be revealed next week in a blockbuster week with flashbacks aplenty as the gaps are finally filled in.
Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), as viewers know, reckons that she might’ve killed Joel.
Unable to live with the guilt, she heads to the station in upcoming scenes, telling Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that the anonymous phone call he received on the night in question was from her after she hit Joel with a crowbar.
She claims it was self defence and that Joel was alive when she left him but an unexpected twist follows, with Kit’s receiving a shocking piece of evidence.
The question is: will this free Dee-Dee from speculation? Or will it simply confirm that she murdered her ex?
DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), meanwhile, reveals that somebody planted her issue CS spray with the murder weapon, which has led her to believe that she’s being set up – most likely by the actual murderer themselves!
As she retraces her steps, trying to figure out who could have lifted her spray, we can’t help but wonder if her efforts will it lead her to the killer? Or is Lisa trying to cover her own tracks?
So many questions.
You’ll just have to tune in for yourself, with the week in question set to conclude with an epic flashback offering of the cobbles drama, which will reveal ALL.
You don’t want to miss it!
Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday, November 11 and Friday, November 15 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
