DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) makes a huge mistake in upcoming Coronation Street scenes that leaves her completely devastated.
Lisa has had a rough time of it since losing wife Becky in 2021, having been left to raise teen daughter Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) alone.
Recently, it was revealed that Becky was killed on duty while chasing an assailant, who mowed her down with their getaway car, with Becky dying at the scene.
Becky’s death has had a huge impact on young Betsy, who recently took extreme action to stop Lisa succumbing to a similar fate.
After learning that Lisa had also been knocked over by a car, Betsy made an anonymous harassment complaint against her in the hopes of stopping her from being able to work.
Having realised how much Betsy was still struggling, Lisa agreed to take some time off.
Unfortunately, things remain fractured between the mother and daughter in upcoming scenes when Betsy reveals that she’s going to Becky’s grave for her birthday.
Lisa is left feeling absolutely terrible, having forgotten the special day, and ends up drowning her sorrows in the pub, where Carla Connor (Alison King) eventually finds her.
The next day, Lisa wakes up on Carla’s sofa with a hangover.
As Carla admits to Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) that she has feelings for Lisa but she’s out of her depth, Ryan urges her to go for it.
When she walks in on Lisa getting dressed, will Carla make her move?
Elsewhere, Betsy finds herself in trouble when she is cornered by Matty and Logan Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff and Harry Lowbridge), who steal her phone.
When Lisa later finds a missed message from her daughter revealing that she’s in trouble, she is horrified. Will Lisa get to her in time?
