Coronation Street favourite left with big decision as pregnancy story is confirmed
Coronation Street favourite Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) has been left with a huge decision to make after discovering that she is pregnant in recent scenes.
It recently transpired that Dee-Dee had slept with ex-partner and villain Joel Deering (Calum Lill), despite her beliefs to wait until after marriage.
Things only got more complicated for the solicitor when she realised that she was pregnant, after being encouraged to take a test by Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
Poor Dee-Dee had absolutely no idea what to do, and the fact that it was Joel’s baby that she was carrying made things even more difficult.
She explained to Sarah how she was worried she would only ever see Joel when she looked at her baby, but Sarah was quick to comfort her, sharing her own experience.
She told Dee-Dee all about Callum Logan and her son Harry, and pointed out that she never really thought about Callum, only how much she loved her son.
Needing further spiritual guidance, Dee-Dee went to see vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who said a short prayer before attempting to offer some advice.
He explained that his opinion was that the baby was innocent, and when Dee-Dee expressed her concerns that it may turn out to be like Joel, Billy argued that all parents take the risk of their child turning into a bad person.

Finally, Dee-Dee spoke to Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), who pointed out that soon Joel would be a distant memory for Dee-Dee.
When Dee-Dee hoped the same for Lauren, the young mum explained that that wouldn’t be possible because of baby Frankie, but that despite everything Joel had put her through, Frankie had given her something to live for.
With Dee-Dee’s decision weighing heavy, what will she choose to do?
