Lisa Swain rejects heartbroken Carla Connor – then tragedy strikes in Coronation Street
DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is set to leave Carla Connor (Alison King) heartbroken in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, before tragedy strikes.
Carla and Lisa have been growing closer in recent months, and in recent scenes it proved impossible for them to fight their feelings for each other any longer.
However, after their recent afternoon oof passion, Lisa is set to draw back her affections.
With Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) having made her disgust toward their budding relationship clear, Lisa tells Carla that she isn’t ready for a relationship.
Gutted, Carla heads to the factory, but is shocked to find that it has been ransacked.
As she pulls out her phone to call the police, she is suddenly struck over the head and knocked unconscious.
It doesn’t take long for news of Carla’s hospitalisation to reach Lisa, and she wastes no time in rushing to her bedside, willing her to pull through
Elsewhere, Matty Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff) is pulled in for questioning, but is left smug when Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) corroborates his alibi.
Feeling confident, Matty makes a dig to Lisa about Becky’s death, leaving her furious and determined that he must have had something to do with it.
While Lisa goes out of her way to keep a close eye on Matty, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) prepare to bring Carla home.

Carla admits that she is disappointed that Lisa isn’t with them, unaware that back at the station Matty is accusing her of police harassment.
Having sensed the mutual feelings between Carla and Lisa, Roy decides to step in, later urging Lisa to build bridges with the factory boss.
Will Lisa follow Roy’s advice, or will she be too distracted to make a proper go of things with Carla?
