On edge Chesney loses it in Coronation Street – then a van drives right at him

Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) has the week from hell in upcoming Coronation Street episodes.

The beloved character is married to Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell). Together, they look after the quads and Chesney’s son Joseph (William Flanagan), and often find money to be the route of their stresses.

Recently, Chesney asked Kirk (Andy Whyment) to look after the kebab shop while he rushed Joseph to the airport for his skiing trip. Unfortunately, while Ches and Joseph left, a health inspector visited the establishment.

Due to the fact Kirk never worked out who the man was, he answered too honestly to the questions, which made it seem as though Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) didn’t care about hiring staff who followed basic health and safety rules.

When Dev and Ches returned, they discovered the shop needed to be closed until standards had improved.

In upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Chesney pops to Freshco for some shopping. Just as he pulls into the car park, a van driver swoops in front and nicks his space.

Wound up, Chesney blocks him in, gets out of the car, and heads off.

In the week, as a downbeat Ches surveys the damage to his car, a van screeches past and very nearly knocks him over. To his horror, Chesney realises it’s the same van.

At home, an overwhelmed Chesney realises looking after five kids alone is starting to take its toll.

Later, during a conversation with Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), Chesney reflects on Les Battersby’s death and reckons he wasn’t really that close to the man his mum was in a relationship with.

But is Chesney hiding how he really feels because he has so much going on at the moment?
