Coronation Street fans ‘know’ who’s targeting Chesney as plot takes sinister turn

Some Coronation Street viewers think they know who the mystery ‘van man’ is who has had run-ins with Chesney Brown in a mystery new storyline.

The plot had been teased in spoilers, while this week we saw his car scraped after he blocked the van in. The driver had taken his parking space, and then later on in the week the same vehicle sped down the road, almost crashing into Chesney and his car.

With Chesney telling Bernie Winter about it as if someone was after him, he concerned his young son Joseph who kept looking out the window to see if they returned. Chesney downplayed it all, telling his son there was nothing to worry about.

But things are about to take another sinister turn on the ITV soap, as things get worse. Next week spoilers have revealed there’s another incident, and this time Chesney’s tyres are slashed.

Not only that, but Chesney spots the van near the street once more and believes the driver is out to get him. So what is going on, and what does the mystery newcomer want with Chesney? Could it be a familiar face?

Viewers are now questioning whether they’ve worked it all out. More than one theory has been shared on the story, with a familiar face teased for a return.

One fan predicted: “Think it’s Cilla,” believing Chesney’s mother Cilla Brown was behind it. Another theory was that Matty and Logan Radcliffe could be terrorising Chesney, after their recent antics. The theory read: “Mason’s brothers in a stolen van!”

But other viewers don’t know who exactly is to blame – but they think someone does. Seeing the way Joseph reacted to Chesney’s comments, they believe he is hiding something.

So is Jospeh somehow involved in the mystery new plot, and might he know what’s going on? Viewers certainly think this could be the case, as he was shown watching out for them to return.

One fan posted on social media: “Joseph knows what’s up.” Another theory read: “Why was Joseph looking so dodgy about Chesney’s van drama?” as a third said: “Joseph driving the van? Stranger things have happened.”

A further comment read: “Joseph looks worried for a sec when he was listening to Chesney.” Meanwhile another fan shared their thoughts and said: “Jospeh is looking shifty – he was probably joyriding in that van. Only way he can ever get any attention from Chesney.”
