The cast of Coronation Street got glammed up to celebrate co-star Lucy Fallon’s baby shower this weekend.
The Bethany Platt star announced her second pregnancy earlier this year with partner Ryan Ledson.
The pair share one-year-old son Sonny Jude, and are now expecting a little girl.
The event, which Lucy called her ‘Slaybe Shower’, had a very clear dress code – ‘slay’ – and the cast of Corrie certainly delivered.
Lucy was glowing in a stunning burgundy gown, which she paired with a pink, sparkly clutch bag with her name on it.
The actress was joined by Asha Alahan star Tanisha Gorey, Dee-Dee Bailey actress Channique Sterling-Brown, Daisy Midgeley star Charlotte Jordan and Paddy Bever, who plays Max Turner.
Posting snaps from the night to her Instagram, Lucy revealed that she had ‘never felt so lucky’, and was inundated with supportive comments.
‘Baby girls having a baby girl,’ Sophie Webster star Brooke Vincent wrote, while Charlotte Jordan added, ‘we can’t wait to meeeeet herrrr’.
‘How? How do you look that fantastic ALL OF THE TIME????’ Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, wanted to know.
‘So beautiful Lucy love you,’ Rosie Webster actress Helen Flanagan commented.
The news of Lucy’s pregnancy in the summer left Coronation Street fans wondering what would become of her character Bethany, but the actress was quick to set their minds at rest.
‘Lots of Corrie related q’s – I won’t be away for tooo long and I am returning after I pop the baby out,’ she wrote after sharing a mirror selfie on set.
It has been a busy year for Bethany on the ITV soap, having recently undergone emergency surgery after botched liposuction treatment in Turkey.
The character has been struggling to adjust to having a stoma bag fitted, though it seems she may be set to make progress when she attends a support group in upcoming scenes.
However, it soon becomes clear that she has lied to the leader of the group about the operation that led to her needing a stoma – will the truth come out?
