Shona Platt’s (Julia Goulding) relationship with David (Jack P Shepherd) continues to be tested in upcoming Coronation Street episodes.
Things kicked off for the couple when Shona’s son Clayton tried to make contact with her. Aware of what was going on, David intercepted the messages and visited him instead, not wanting his wife to be put through stress.
In the episode of the ITV soap that’ll air tonight, David will admit the truth to Max (Paddy Bever) about visiting Clayton – the person who killed his wife Kylie – in secret.
Meanwhile, Shona organises a cab out of Weatherfield and tells Steve (Simon Gregson) he mustn’t tell anyone about where she’s going.
Unfortunately, he will end up spilling the beans to Max, revealing that he drove Shona to the prison.
A few days later, David tells Shona that she’d better sleep on the sofa. Just as she tries to bed down for the evening, Shona receives a text and is later seen tapping on the door of a hotel bedroom.
Her suspicious behaviour continues when she confesses to Adam (Sam Robertson) that she injured her arm as a result of being almost run over by a car linked to Debbie’s (Sue Devaney) stolen vehicle.
As Shona leaves, Craig (Colson Smith) tells Kit (Jacob Roberts) at the station that the case is far from closed.
