There’s a worrying situation ahead for David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes when he is violently injured in a vicious attack.

David is currently harbouring a secret with Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson), having stolen a large sum of money from notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

The money went missing after Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) had to undergo emergency treatment in Turkey after botched cosmetic surgery, and Gail Platt (Helen Worth) decided to sell her house in order to cover the medical bills.

When David found out about this, he stole Harvey’s money in order to buy the house from Gail – though it didn’t take long for Jesse to find the stash and agree to keep the secret.

However, it appears that the cat may soon be out of the bag…

David is left shaken in upcoming scenes when he is confronted by Matty and Logan Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff and Harry Lowbridge), who demand to know where the money is.

Things only get worse when the lads head to the salon and tell Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) that they are friends of David. Is she in danger?

Having been asked to pick up the wedding rings for Jesse ahead of his nuptials to Gail, David returns home with a split lip and black eye, sparking concern.
What has happened to him?

Desperate to find the missing rings, Jesse tracks them down to a local shop.

As he reveals their location, is the game up for David?
