Coronation Street lines up unexpected twists and showdowns aplenty next week, as confirmed in my new spoiler pictures, with big announcements made and a few shocks along the way.
Injured Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) resolves to sleep on the sofa in the wake of recent events but, as she prepares to bed down for the night, she receives a mystery text.
The popular character subsequently exits No. 8 and makes her way to a hotel, knocking on one door in particular.
The question is: who is she visiting? And just what does this person want?
Elsewhere, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) is delighted with Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) Christmas gift for her, which is a backgammon set.
The matriarch is keen to get it set up and running in the pub but things take an unexpected turn as Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) accidentally spills beer over it.
Evelyn is left seeing red and retaliates by sending him a letter, informing him that she’s taking him to the small claims court!
Oh Steve, what have you done?
Gail Platt (Helen Worth), meanwhile, gathers her loved ones at No. 8 so that she and Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson) can make a big announcement.
The legend, who is set to depart in the coming weeks, is excited for her new chapter but just what does her big announcement entail?
It’s going to be quite a week!
