Former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman has become a dad for the first time.
The Craig Harris actor’s fiancée Celinde Schoenmaker gave birth to their baby girl last week.
The couple announced news of her arrival with a special video on Instagram, which also revealed they have called their baby Coco Beau.
The video showed them leaving hospital carrying the newborn, then cutting to her named Christmas stocking hanging above the fireplace.
They captioned it: ‘At 8.08am On 30-11-2024 our world exploded into technicolor as we welcomed our daughter into the world. Coco Beau Fleeshman, we love you beyond words.’
Richard and theatre star Celinde announced they were expecting their first child together back in August.
At the time, they shared a video on Instagram, which showed Celinde walking into frame towards their pet cat Luna, with a visible baby bump.
‘We’ve not met you yet, but never been more in love,’ she wrote in the caption.
‘I don’t think Luna realizes she’s not gonna be cutest in the household for much longer,’ she added, before tagging Richard and pointing out that they have, ‘so many new adventures ahead’.
Richard and Celinde got engaged while on safari in Africa in 2022.
‘Went to Africa with my girl. I’ll be heading home with a Fiancée,’ he revealed at the time.
Best known for playing Craig Harris on the ITV soap from 2002 to 2006, one of his most memorable storylines saw Craig and Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) become goths.
Since leaving the street, Richard has taken to the stage, starring in the West End and Broadway productions of Ghost: The Musical. He has also taken on roles in Legally Blonde and Sondheim’s Company.
In 2022, he starred in the Netflix series The Sandman and has since appeared in Death in Paradise and The Ark, among other projects.
