This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.

There was absolute chaos on Coronation Street in recent scenes when Debbie Webster’s (Sue Devaney) car was stolen by Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

Debbie isn’t in Daniel’s good books at the moment, having outed Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) for lying about why she needed a stoma in front of the whole pub.

When Debbie exposed Bethany for lying to her support group a

bout having cancer, Daniel was horrified, and berated her for the lie.

In last night’s episode, Daniel apologised to Bethany for lashing out, and she appeared ready to forgive him – until a previous lie came back to bite him.

Viewers will remember that after her stoma bag leaked in the Rovers several weeks ago, Bethany asked Daniel to take her nice clothes to the charity shop.

Instead, Daniel gave them to Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) to look after in case Bethany changed her mind.

When Bethany headed to the bar in tonight’s episode, she was surprised to see Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) wearing a top that she used to own.

As Jenny explained that she had got it from Daisy, Bethany put the pieces together and realised that Daniel had lied to her.

With Bethany furious, Daniel ended up drowning his sorrows until he was refused service and headed outside.

There, he spotted Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) leaving the keys to Debbie’s car under the wheel arch, and decided to take revenge.

After getting behind the wheel drunk, it didn’t take long for Daniel to crash the car – something that Daisy was horrified to witness.

As Daniel panicked about the consequences of his actions, Daisy told him to go back to the Rovers, promising to sort out his mess.

When Daisy returned, she revealed that she’d dealt with the car, but that they needed to get their stories straight if they were going to avoid getting into trouble.

The next day, DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) started his investigation into the missing car, and began by questioning Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) on Debbie’s request.

With Sarah having already keyed Debbie’s car and witnessed Kevin hiding the keys, she was the prime suspect.

However, she argued her innocence and Kit was quick to believe her, revealing that he suspected the car had been stolen by joyriders.

After overhearing Kit and Sarah’s conversation, Daisy pulled Daniel aside and let him know that they were off the hook – but it soon turned out she had spoken too soon…

Back at the police station, Kit trawled through CCTV and was shocked to find footage of Daisy driving Debbie’s car…

What will he do with this information? Are Daisy and Daniel in serious trouble?
