Coronation Street icon returns with unexpected and mysterious injury
A Coronation Street icon was left mysteriously injured in recent scenes after sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night.
Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) took a secret trip to a hotel in recent scenes to meet with Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), following their one night stand last week.
Heartbroken after learning that David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) had deliberately blocked Shona’s son Clayton from contacting her, Shona headed out for a night on the town and soon fell into bed with the detective constable.
In last night’s scenes, she seemed remorseful for her actions, warning Kit in the cafe that it was never going to happen again.
However, another row with David about her decision to take the morning after pill left her feeling fragile and, having been kicked onto the sofa that night, she soon arranged to meet Kit again.
When she arrived in his hotel room, she admitted that she wasn’t actually sure what she wanted.
Kit took this as a sign to call things off, and Shona was grateful for his understanding.
Between leaving the hotel and arriving home, Shona somehow suffered a mysterious injury to her arm.
Covering the fact that she left the house, she told David the next morning that she had fallen down the stairs the night before, and he rushed her to the hospital.
As Shona was diagnosed with a fractured arm, she managed to patch things up with David.

With the couple back on track, will Shona ever come clean about her night with Kit, and how she really injured her arm?
It’s safe to say that her betrayal could ruin things between the couple forever, with actor Jack P Shepherd admitting that Kit would be unlikely to get out of it unscathed either if David found out.
‘I think he’ll react in a way where he’ll have to try and get his own back somehow,’ Jack revealed. ‘And he’ll have to try and do it in a clever way.
‘With Kit being six foot taller than David, he won’t be able to take him on physically. It’ll have to be something sort of mentally. He’ll do something to f*ck his life up somehow. That’s what he’ll do.’
