EastEnders spoilers: Cindy’s fate, shock murder arrest and secret romance exposed

The spoilers for next week on EastEnders have teased some massive twists and turns.

We finally find out Cindy Beale’s fate, and we could also get closer to finding out who tried to kill her on Christmas Day. There’s a shocking arrest and a big discovery, as two families continue to struggle with what’s gone on.

Then there’s Reiss Colwell, who’s hiding the fact he’s kidnapped his sister-in-law Bianca Jackson ahead of his pregnant fiancée Sonia Fowler’s trial. She’s on trial for killing Reiss’ ex Debbie Colwell while fans know he’s the real killer.

Also next week fans will see Denise Fox and Ravi Gulati getting closer, while she clearly still has feelings for Jack Branning too. Soon the secret romance is exposed, but will they go public?

Fans can also expect some touching scenes amid some health news, while there’s also a love triangle teased. To kick things off, new spoilers reveal Cindy wakes up from her coma in upcoming scenes.

Spoilers for next Monday reveal she is “now awake” which could suggest she regains consciousness in the previous episode. Either way, there’s drama ahead when she’s determined to find out who attacked her weeks earlier.

Cindy’s left emotional as son Peter Beale deflects her questions, with it clear tensions are still running high. Cindy’s daughter Anna Knight is also at the hospital, and soon she confirms to everyone else that her mother is awake.

DCI Arthurs interviews Cindy who is horrified to learn that she was most likely attacked by someone she knows. When Peter arrives at the hospital with partner Lauren Branning, who exposed Cindy’s affair with Junior Knight leading to the big showdown and the attack, Cindy is not happy.

It’s clear she’s hostile towards her, and later on Lauren is stunned when she is arrested for attempted murder. The pregnant character is questioned by police, and it seems Cindy’s recollections are to blame for her being arrested – but can Lauren convince them she is innocent?

Peter asks his mum to retract her statement, but when Lauren drops another confession he’s left reeling further. Lauren’s revelation drives a wedge between her and Peter, but can they sort things out?

Cindy soon finds herself moving in with Reiss as Ian refuses to let her stay, with the Knights also still not on good terms. Cindy heads back to Walford, and she soon faces hostility – while the attack suspects are all sparking suspicion.

Also next week, Denise and Ravi continue their secret romance only to be caught out. As Denise’s son Raymond’s birthday party gets underway, Denise clashes with Raymond’s father Phil Mitchell, while Ravi and Jack could come to blows once more.

It’s Ravi’s son Nugget who catches them kissing though, with Ravi begging him to stay quiet. Denise fears she could lose everything if anyone finds out, and when she shares a warm moment with Jack, Ravi refuses to be her dirty little secret.

But Denise appears to make a choice as she knocks back Jack, before telling Ravi she wants to be with him but can’t go public. When Jack gets hurt trying to protect Denise’s daughter Chelsea from some men harassing her, Denise feels bad and invites him for a drink.

Nigel Bates is continuing to hide his reasons for being in Walford amid concern for his health, but can Yolande Trueman convince him to open up to Phil? Ruby Allen is left jealous when Martin Fowler and his ex Stacey Slater unite, while Sonia’s trial arrives.

Sonia begs Reiss to help her prove her innocence and tells him how important it is that her sister Bianca is there to support her during the trial. Of course Reiss is struggling to prove the former as he’s the killer, and as for Bianca she’s still locked up in a storage unit after finding out the truth. When Sonia’s trial is adjourned due to his latest actions, what has gone on and will Reiss come clean?
