Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) makes a decision that is bound to make her even less popular with her family than she already is next week’s EastEnders.

The Walford icon has been without a permanent place to live since the truth about her affair with former stepson Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) was exposed at Christmas.

Having made enemies with most of her family, Cindy was subsequently attacked and left for dead by a mystery assailant, who is still at large.

After being discharged from hospital, Cindy spent a few nights lodging in Reiss Colwell’s (Jonny Freeman) spare room, but he asked her to leave when a brick was thrown through his window with a threatening note for Cindy attached.

Her former fiancé Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) later appeared to take pity on Cindy and invited her back to No. 45 to live – but things are far from well in the Beale household next week.

After Cindy gets some new evidence about her attacker, she throws around some accusations causing her to clash with Ian.

She tries to make peace at home by staging a truce dinner, but things go sour when her true motivations are revealed.

After battle lines are then drawn, Cindy’s former lover Junior offers her a room at his flat, which she duly accepts.

When her family later find out about her new address, Cindy is further lambasted and isolated from them.

But could passion reignite between Cindy and Junior?

Meanwhile, EastEnders fans still have a while yet to go before finding out the true identity of her attacker, as bosses have previously confirmed the truth will be revealed as part of the soap’s 40th anniversary celebrations in mid-February.
