EastEnders’ Ian Beale in the arms of another after vicious attack from Cindy
A war of words – and fists – between EastEnders exes Ian and Cindy Beale (Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins) could be set to lead to an unexpected romantic development for the ever unlucky in love eels merchant.
Cindy continues to try and hunt her Christmas Day shovel walloper down, and accusations are flying left, right and centre once more.
A stopped watch is right twice a day, and that’s clearly the approach Cindy is banking on, given she has practically accused the whole of Walford and found herself no closer to the truth.
This time, it’s Ian’s turn. He had previously denied the deed, grimly adding that he would have finished the job had he been wielding the weapon.
The pair cross swords once again and as harsh words are exchanged, Cindy snaps and punches him across the face.
The Beales aren’t having much luck with facial injuries this winter, are they?
On hand to nurse his bloodied nose is unlikely new ally Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy).

Of late, they have struck up a friendship of sorts, with Ian hoping his new alliance will get Cindy’s back up.
At this rate, give it a month, and he will be popping the question to Priya.
Whatever her intentions and how much of a spark there is remains to be seen, but things certainly seem cosily amicable as she dabs away the Beale blood.
But where, if anywhere, will this bond lead?
And, as Cindy continues her search for justice, will anyone but karma be unmasked?
We – and Cindy – don’t have too long to wait as the truth of it all will come out in dramatic fashion during the week of EastEnders’ 40th anniversary.

Expect bombshells aplenty as Cindy is confronted with the identity of who wanted her dead.
Given that Cindy is rarely someone to cross, could she then be determined to take revenge?
Elsewhere, with the help of you, dear viewer, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) will make her decision on who she wants to be with – Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) or Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
However, some fans want to mix things up even further, reckoning that Priya is better suited to Ravi.
Good luck with that, she’s clearly all about the Beale right now…
