Barney is in grave danger (Picture: BBC)
This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of EastEnders, which hasn’t yet aired on BBC One but can be streamed on iPlayer now.
Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) has been left fearing for his lie after an altercation with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
The episode kicked off with Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) wondering who sister Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) was texting.
As we know, her mystery fella is older bloke Mason (Alex Draper), whose identity is only known by Barney.
Last week we saw her mum Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) question her new relationship – and Avani managed to think up the perfect scapegoat – her best pal Barns.
With Mason pressuring her to take their relationship to the next level, it was only a matter of time before she had to confess to him that she wasn’t ready.

Meeting up with him after school on Edward Road, it wasn’t long before he sped off in his car and took her to a quiet road beside some garages.
As he began to move his hands towards her, it was clear she felt uncomfortable. After climbing out of his car, he told her to get in the back so they could sleep together.
When she refused, Mason accused Avani of being a ‘tease’, before throwing her to the ground and causing her lip to burst.
Back in the Square, Ravi and Priya were having their own dilemma, as they argued over parenting skills and what was best for their daughter.

The row had a surprising outcome though – the two almost kissed, but were interrupted by Zack Hudson (James Farrar).
Outside, Nugget was carrying a bleeding Avani back to their parents. She’d ripped her tights in the altercation and her knees were bloody.
Adamant to get revenge, Ravi charged to find Barney, who he presumed was responsible.
The youngster clocked onto the case of mistaken identity and dashed off through the market, but as he found safety outside of Peggy’s, Ravi soon caught up.
Barney asserted that he didn’t feel threatened, but soon was dragged up on top of the viaduct above Turpin Road.
Just as we thought Ravi couldn’t get any worse, he threw the youngster over the side, leaving him dangling by his ankles.
Will Barney be okay?
