Danny Dyer’s next role is his most NSFW yet – the trailer will drop your jaw

EastEnders legend Danny Dyer has taken on a new role, and it is his most NSFW to date!

The Mick Carter actor left the BBC soap in 2022 and has been busy with a whole host of roles ever since.

His newest movie, with The Football Factory director Nick Love, is called Marching Powder, and it’s not for the easily offended!

In a new trailer, Danny can be seen in the role of Jack Jones, with his wife asking him to join her in bed – though with a few more choice words.

‘Set in the irreverent and profane world of cult classic The Football Factory, the film follows the story of Jack Jones (Danny Dyer), an ageing, drug-taking football hooligan who feels increasingly irrelevant in today’s society as he struggles to keep his family together,’ the official synopsis of the movie reads.

‘Hooked on drugs and adrenaline; and struggling to resist the pull of his firm of fellow football fans, Jack is arrested after some violent matchday exploits and given six weeks to turn his life around, or else face a long spell in prison.

‘Juggling his marriage, his mates, his hard-nut bully of a father-in-law and his unhinged 25-year-old brother-in-law, Jack tries to get his life back on-track but his world slowly starts to spiral out of control. Can Jack overcome his inner demons or is he heading for jail?’

Since leaving EastEnders, where he played loveable landlord Mick Carter for nearly 10 years, Danny has been involved in countless projects.

Earlier this year, he made his comedy debut alongside Ryan Sampson in Mr Bigstuff.

Speaking to Metro about getting the role, Danny said: ‘It’s a tricky one, our industry. No one’s guaranteed anything. You never quite know where it’s going to take you.

‘And of course, you can get institutionalized in these shows. You’re not around anymore, you’re not about.

‘So, to be out and free to choose what I want to do again, you want something cool and something that you think you can shine in, and this landed on my lap and I was like, “Yes!”.’

Most recently, Danny has been seen in Jilly Cooper’s series Rivals.
