Kat and Alfie’s reunion in EastEnders is as pure as can be as Nana Moon delivers message from beyond the grave
Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) have finally reunited in EastEnders and as the leaders of the Kat and Alfie fan club, we couldn’t be more thrilled.
Beloved character Kat has received a lot of support from Alfie in recent weeks and as a result, she’s started seeing him in a new light. Amid the abuse sustained at the hands of son Tommy (Sonny Kendall), Kat has been comforted by Alfie time and time again.
Following a fairly hopeful meeting with their social worker, Kat expressed her gratitude and kissed Alfie – which changed everything.
In tonight’s episode, Kat made her way to the Slaters to update Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Jean (Gillian Wright) on her situation. Over glasses of wine, the trio discussed Kat’s situation and the pros and cons surrounding being in a relationship with Alfie.
Meanwhile, at the flat, Alfie was also discussing his feelings for Kat, but over some beer with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Freddie (Bobby Brazier).
Once top-advice giver Ian reminded Alfie that Kat slept with Derek Branning (don’t), Freddie decided they shouldn’t focus on the past and attempted to banish their negativity by meditating…we think.
Just as Freddie asked Alfie who the love of his life is, a picture of him and Nana Moon fell from the shelf behind him.
Creepy.
Finally (Picture: BBC)
Alfie picked it up and stared at his dearly missed nan. He revealed to Ian and Freddie that her dying wish was that he got with Kat, and Freddie couldn’t believe it.
As the night continued, Kat returned to the flat and discovered Alfie had laid the table for a dinner. The situation seemed awkward and once Alfie picked up on Kat’s distant behaviour, he quickly jumped in and said they shouldn’t get back together.
Concluding their kiss felt wrong, Alfie and Kat were given a distraction as a result of a towel catching on fire.
Kat grabbed the fire extinguisher and put the flames out, but then smirked as she turned to Alfie and sprayed him with the foam.
A while later, Kat and Alfie stood at the window and watched the fireworks.
Covered in foam, Kat caught Alfie looking at her.
‘I’m mad about you, Kat Slater’, he said.
‘You’ve always been my man in the moon’, she replied.
The two characters then kissed as fireworks lit up the sky in the background.
Kat and Alfie are back together.
At last.
