EastEnders star Danny Dyer has returned to set as major Sky Max comedy Mr Bigstuff resumes filming for its second series.

In an Instagram post, Danny joined co-star Ryan Sampson as they argued over who the show belonged to.

Series one of Mr Bigstuff follows carpet salesman Glen, played by actor and writer Ryan, in his seemingly perfect life with fiancé Kirsty (Harriet Webb) – until Danny’s character Lee comes crashing in, running from a past that is catching up with him.

Now, the show is set to return for another series, something both Danny and Ryan previously told Metro that they were keen for.

‘We’re almost praying [for a second series], because you couldn’t end it there,’ Danny told us.

‘You can go where you want with these characters. They’re all very loveable, they’re all flawed, they’ve all got their issues.

‘But I think this is just the beginning of this, and I’m very intrigued to see what Ryan comes up with next. No pressure!

‘And also, it would just be nice to get another series out of it. It would be a real shame if it didn’t happen again. I just don’t think that’s the full stop on it.’

Mr Bigstuff marked Danny’s first comedy role since leaving BBC soap EastEnders in 2022.

He has since gone on to star in a number of projects including Henpocalypse! and Rivals.

EastEnders fans will know him best as loveable landlord Mick Carter, who went missing at sea after diving in to save childhood sweetheart Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

He recently revealed that he would be willing to return to the London-based soap for its 40th anniversary, though he has yet to receive a call.

‘I would be up for going back for the 40th anniversary, but nobody’s contacted me,’ he told the KISS Breakfast Radio Show.

‘I’ve chucked it out there. I think I need to go back and save my wife Linda, who’s now become a murderess.

‘It does worry me a bit.’
