Clair’s character Bernie fled to Germany back in September after Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) confessed the truth to her about her brother Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder, and hasn’t been seen since.

The Six were left fearing that she would report them to the police, but as the weeks have passed, they were confronted by a new threat when Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) also manipulated Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) into revealing what happened.

After a terrifying night in The Vic on Halloween, during which he threatened to expose The Six’s killer secret, the dying villain later had a change of heart and ended up taking the rap for Keanu’s murder.

With Nish now behind bars for their crime, The Six had space to breathe again –but their relief is short-lived when Bernie arrives home.

Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) is relieved to see killer daughter Linda sober and focused on recovery from alcoholism this coming week, but her positivity is soon destroyed by Bernie’s return.

As Linda tries to explain about her failed confession, Bernie rages over Nish taking the rap and warns that neither of them will ever move on.

Bernie then heads over to confront Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), who tries a different tactic to calm her down.

Will Suki manage to get through to Bernie and secure The Six’s freedom for good?
