With her wedding day just around the corner, EastEnders’ Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) sets a trap for fiancé George Knight (Colin Salmon) which could end their relationship.

In the lead-up to the big day, Elaine is increasingly worried about George’s loyalty to her, fearing he may still be harbouring feelings for ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).

As the Knights begin preparing The Vic for the celebrations, a jealous Elaine starts to lay out one final test for George.

She goes to visit Cindy, where she reveals she wants her love rival to set up a honey trap to see if George can be swayed.

Cindy is initially stunned by the suggestion, but eventually accepts, having recently admitted to former flame David Wicks (Michael French) that she is still in love with George – despite being engaged to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and recently embarking on an affair with George’s son Junior (Micah Balfour).

At Junior’s, it’s not long before Cindy and George start taking a trip down memory lane, and Cindy lunges for a kiss.

While viewers will have to wait and see how George responds, Cindy can’t resist in telling him all about the trap Elaine set for him.

He’s left in complete disbelief as he heads back to The Vic to confront his fiancée.

As their wedding day then arrives, it remains to be seen whether some comforting words from their family have been enough to make them walk down the aisle and say, ‘I do’…
