Major EastEnders feud reignited as legend declares war
Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) has discovered Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) custody battle plan in EastEnders.
Martin was shocked to learn this month that Ruby had given birth to their son Roman two years ago.
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) had learnt the news from Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) when the pair were in prison together.
Alongside Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), the pair tracked down Ruby’s address and stole Roman’s birth certificate – igniting her inner rage when charged around to find Martin and accuse him of stealing it himself.
She admitted that their son had been placed into care, though it later transpired that she wasn’t being 100% truthful, and he was actually in hospital following a paracetamol overdose and requiring a liver transplant.
Furious by Ruby’s apparent bad parenting skills, Martin returned home and told Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) that he vowed to get custody by luring his ex-wife into a false sense of security.
Meanwhile, the doctors advised that Martin may be a blood match for a transplant.
Further good news was delivered when it was revealed that Roman was responding well to treatment and may not need to go through with surgery after all.
Earlier this week, Stacey began to have serious doubts about whether Martin’s plans were the right move and advised him to start considering a more neutral, co-parenting agreement – but he was adamant that Ruby was a bad parent and didn’t deserve to have Roman in her life.
In tonight’s episode, the Slater clan gathered with Martin for a meal, but the conversation soon turned sour and Stacey rushed out.
She would soon have Ruby on her doorstep, emotional and begging for forgiveness. She said that Stacey was once her only friend in a period of loneliness and she now regrets that they’ve fallen out, especially since giving birth to her child.
