The following article contains spoilers from an episode of EastEnders that hasn’t aired on BBC One yet, but is available to view on BBC iPlayer.

Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) has escaped from a prison hospital in EastEnders, and he’s more dangerous than ever before.

The evil man left Walford in November after letting the police believe he killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters). Just before he left, he asked Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) to not marry Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) while he’s still alive.

A few days ago, Nish made a return. He was seen in prison on the phone to grandson Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) and when he learnt Suki and Eve had reunited and were busy planning their wedding, his fury began to increase.

Yesterday, the Panesars received a phone call from the prison that confirmed Nish had only 24 hours left to live.

He was requesting to see Suki, so she travelled to the hospital and found her ex-husband laying in a bed, hooked up to machinery and clearly suffering. He told her that he made the ultimate sacrifice for him and feels betrayed.

Nish then made a chilling promise – he will stop the wedding if Suki doesn’t. To make matters worse, he also admitted to attacking Eve’s mum a few months ago. Strong Suki wasn’t prepared to let him power over her anymore, and branded him an ‘insignificant, weak little man who is going to die alone.’

She swanned out of the room as he pledged his revenge and the full extent of his scheming became apparent. Nish wasn’t unwell at all, and as the doctor began stripping the medical equipment from him, asked when he would be paid.

Nish assured him that once he’d stopped Suki marrying Eve, he’d pay up.

The plan for Nish continued in tonight’s episode of the BBC One soap. Once Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) discovered his dad was being moved to palliative care, he took daughter Avani (Aaliyah James) and Nugget to see him.

When Ravi had time alone with Nish, he was taken aback when he once again started speaking about Suki and Eve’s wedding. Nish said that in order to be proud of Ravi, he must stop Suki from getting married.

Ravi was stunned and told Nish that wouldn’t happen because Suki deserves to be happy. With that, Nish started coughing, which prompted the doctor to make the family leave.

Announcing he’s going to ‘go nuclear’, Nish was then seen in an ambulance. The Panesars believed he was going to be moved to a hospice, but that was far from the case.

When a car drove in front of the ambulance, two armed men left the vehicle and threatened the paramedics. This gave Nish the chance to leave his bed and stand at the doors.

‘It’s good to be alive’, he said.

So, Nish is now on the run.

Anything can happen – but just what exactly will he do in order to stop Suki and Eve from getting married?
