The audacity of Cindy in EastEnders as unique way of evading justice lands her with new reason to grin
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) was playing a seriously risky game in last night’s EastEnders as Ian (Adam Woodyatt) found a gift from Junior Knight (Micah Balfour).
Cindy’s affair was uncovered a few days ago by George Knight’s (Colin Salmon) brother Kojo (Dayo Koleosho). He ran off through the alleyway and climbed the emergency exit staircase at the community centre, with Cindy following suit.
A struggle broke out between the two, and he fell to the ground. After being rushed into hospital, he was placed in an induced coma.
To make matters worse, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) saw what happened between Cindy and Kojo and threatened to find out what really went on.
Realising that she needed to get one up on her, Cindy approached a drug dealer and began supplying her with it.
In last night’s episode, Ian continued to recover following his angina attack, maintaining the view that Cindy shouldn’t ever find out.
The prospect of this happening seems pretty slim to none, as Cindy was once again too busy with Junior to pick up on any health concerns for Ian.
After sleeping with Junior and receiving a gift from him, Cindy returned home and went upstairs for a bath.
Ian then snooped around in her belongings and found the box.
When Cindy entered the living room, she was stunned to see the jewellery on the table. A suspicious Ian questioned Cindy, who covered quickly by saying she had bought the diamond bracelet for her daughter Cindy Jnr.
Ian was surprised but taken by the lie, so Cindy kept going. She said that she knows buying her daughter’s affection wasn’t the way to go, which gave Ian an idea.
He said that Cindy could keep the bracelet and he would give her money to buy Cindy Jnr something else.
Cindy pretended to be surprised, but gladly agreed. Ian picked the bracelet up and put it on Cindy’s wrist, completely oblivious as to where it actually came from.
This development comes ahead of a dramatic Christmas Day reveal, which will divide the Beale and Knight families in spectacular fashion.
We know that Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) has accidentally recorded a conversation between Cindy and David Wicks (Michael French), in which she detailed every gruesome detail of her fling with her former step-son and adoration for George.
The situation is a ticking time bomb, and will be the present that nobody wants under their tree this festive season!
