Kim Tate could turn killer on Emmerdale – and she’s got four residents in her sights.

Claire King has opened up about what’s ahead for her character and warned that we will see a more revengeful side to Kim in the coming weeks, spurred on when she learns the truth about what her husband Will has done.

Will will sleep with his ex Rose next week as the truth starts to unravel about Ruby and Rose and it looks like more trouble could be ahead. Claire – who plays Kim – spoke to The Mirror and other press about what’s to come.

Asked if Ruby is a match for Kim, Claire laughed before adding: “I think Ruby would like to think Kim has met her match. I don’t think she’s on par with Kim. I think Kim can be a little bit more dangerous than Ruby… but we’ll see.”

However, if she does take revenge, there are four residents at risk. Asked if we’d be seeing a different side to Kim, she said: “I can’t wait. I have them all lined up. There will be a few that have wronged her in the last few storylines. There’s Rose to sort out, Ruby, Will’s got to have a bit of slap round the chops. There’s a few. Probably Caleb is in there just for good measure. Maybe chuck a Dingle in.”

We have seen a very family-oriented and softer side to Kim as of late – and she likes being able to play that side of her character too.

“It has been a nice two or three years of playing happy families. I think that’s always going to be within her (a darker side) and it is going to come out at some point. I fear for Rose and I fear for Ruby,” she said.

“It has been lovely to [be a nicer Kim] because, for a time, it was all hard, hard, hard as well as knockbacks, putdowns, one-liners, bitchings, snippings and revenge. That is great, and more fun to play, but you do have to have a balance.”

She added: “Otherwise, the character can get a bit stale and a bit one dimensional. I know she’s got quite a few dimensions to her, so it is a lot better, it has been good to have that other side to it.”
