Marlon Dingle forced to come clean after devastating lie in Emmerdale
This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Emmerdale, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) was forced to reveal the truth about April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) disappearance to son Leo in recent Emmerdale scenes.
The chef was left inconsolable when he found April’s bed empty on Christmas Day, and the villagers have been on the hunt for the missing teen ever since.
Tonight’s episode saw Marlon’s concerns reach new heights, as he confronted local doctor Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) about prescribing April the contraceptive pill.
His discovery of the tablets in April’s bedroom left Marlon horrified earlier this week, with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) confessing to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) that they were concerned April had run away to meet an older man she’d met online.
As he began to spiral, Marlon barged into the B&B to question Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) on April’s relationships with boys, much to the teen’s shock.
Cathy was quick to point out that girls can take the pill for numerous reasons that don’t involve having sex, while insisting that she new nothing about April’s love life.
Meanwhile, the other Emmerdale locals began to extend the search beyond the village, putting up missing posters as they went.
When Marlon returned home, he sat down with Leo in the kitchen, who presented him with one of the posters, leaving Marlon feeling terrible.
