Ruby stunned by shock announcement from Anthony as cheating is exposed in Emmerdale
Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) was left stunned in last night’s Emmerdale when Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) made two shocking announcements.
Ever since Anthony arrived in the village, Ruby has been on edge, and it became clear why when it was revealed that he had sexually abused her as a child.
With Anthony continuing to push his way into all aspects of her life, Ruby has begun to unravel, and things got even worse in last night’s episode when he pushed her into revealing a terrible secret.
Last month, Ruby made a huge mistake when she slept with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) behind husband Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) back.
In the weeks since, they have tried their best to keep it under wraps, but with Anthony sneaking around, it didn’t take long for him to realise that something was amiss…
In last night’s episode, he pushed Ruby to breaking point as he accused her of having an affair, asking her if she was going to leave Caleb for his brother.
When she could no longer stand it, Ruby finally came clean about her rendezvous with the mechanic, insisting that it had only happened once, before begging her dad to keep the information to himself.
As Anthony headed off for a drink with Caleb, Ruby was left hysterical, as she worried about the truth coming to light.
In a bid to shed some of the burden, she updated Cain on the situation, and it is safe to say that he was furious at her for letting their secret slip.
Later, Ruby joined her family in the Woolpack to bring in the New Year, and was left on edge when Anthony revealed that he wanted to make an announcement.
It was clear that Ruby was terrified that he was set to expose the secret of her betrayal, but she seemed even more suspicious when instead Anthony offered a large sum of money towards the search for missing April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan).
However, the surprises didn’t stop there.

Anthony then broke the news to Caleb and Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) that Ruby had asked him to move in – something that came as a complete surprise to her as well.
When she later found herself alone with him, Ruby questioned her dad on his lie.
He insisted that it was clear that Cain wanted more after their fling, and that if he moved in he would be able to keep an eye on things and protect her.
How will Ruby cope with Anthony under the same roof?
