Emmerdale Moira Dingle’s tragic fate ‘sealed’ after worrying Cain scene

There could be a heartbreaking Emmerdale death on the way, teased in a sad flashforward clip this week.

The ITV soap aired a number of dramatic glimpses into the future, teasing what was in store for villagers in 2025. One of those clips showed a character sobbing at a graveside, mourning a mystery character.

All signs suggested the funeral had just happened, while there is no timeframe for when the scenes will air. Cain Dingle was shown alone at the grave crying, with flowers spelling out a word or a name that wasn’t visible onscreen.

Cain looked sad but also guilty, clearly devastated while possibly blaming himself for whatever has happened. No new details will be revealed for the time being, but understandably fans are fearing the death is Moira.

Moira recently underwent major surgery and was feared to be dying after a brain tumour diagnosis. She’s now having consultations for radiotherapy – but is a tragic twist on the way?

Might Cain have been grieving for Moira at the graveside? May his guilt be the fact he betrayed her by sleeping with his sister-in-law Ruby Miligan?

Viewers are fearing the worst, sharing their theories on X. One fan posted: “Wow what a trailer you better keep Coira safe.” Another agreed: “I sdf if that is Moira for Cain’s flash forward Emmerdale count your days.”

A third fan posted: “Emmerdale I am in complete shock!! Please let Coira be okay.” A fourth viewer posted: “But Moira might [die],” as a fifth added: “Got to say this looks good. I hope Moira doesn’t die doesn’t look good if Cain is like that.”

The comments kept on coming is one theory read: “They better not be killing Moira off.” Another theory said: “Are they gonna kill off Moira,” with a further comment reading: “I do think Moira is on her way out.”

It’s been teased that Cain’s fling with Ruby could come to light, as they battle to keep their secret after Anthony Fox, Ruby’s dad, learned the truth. What Cain and others are yet to find out is that Anthony sexually abused his daughter when she was a teenager, and now Ruby fears he may be the real father of her and husband Caleb’s daughter Steph.

Caleb himself looks set to face danger, as he was shown flatlining in hospital in another clip. So is Cain about to lose his wife and his brother in the same year?
