Emmerdale Heartbreak: Marlon Devastated as He Faces April’s Tragic Death
Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) has barely slept ever since daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) went missing on Christmas Day in Emmerdale.
In the lead up to her disappearance, April clashed multiple times with her father. The majority of their arguments were down to April just getting older, but she also discovered what really happened to her mum Donna, and spiralled after learning Marlon wasn’t planning on telling her the truth.
On Christmas Day morning, Marlon entered April’s bedroom only to find she wasn’t there. Initially, residents wondered if she had taken off somewhere to see a friend, but Marlon knew something wasn’t right.
April has been missing ever since, and poor Marlon can’t bare it.
In upcoming episodes, Marlon has a devastating dream that April is dead and is horrifically shaken when he wakes up.
Later, Vanessa (Michelle Hardwicks) pops by and confirms to Marlon and Rhona (Zoe Henry) that someone has written an article about Rhona’s past, linking it to the possibility she has something to do with April going missing.
That evening, after more searching, Marlon is a broken man as he admits to Rhona there is a possibility April might be dead.
Yet to be faced with an official answer, Marlon heads into the centre of Leeds the next day, ready for more searching. As Marlon trudges the streets, he spots a young girl who looks like April in the distance. He races to intercept her, but Ross (Michael Parr) confronts him.
After an initial altercation, Ross does his best to buoy Marlon and keep up his hopes of finding April.
As they continue walking though, Ross and Marlon are surrounded by reminders that April is just one of hundreds of thousands of missing people.
