Emmerdale Devastation: Marlon’s Fury Erupts Amid Fears April May Be Dead in Shocking Video
Watching the above Emmerdale spoiler video cracked my heart in two as Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), eyes red and swimming with tears, yells that he hates Mary Goskirk (Louise Jamieson) for writing April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) off as dead.
Since an explosive row on Christmas Day, April has been missing after fleeing the house, with Marlon desperately blaming himself.
He has since appealed via social media for any news after a search party effort was fruitless, later getting abuse from sick trolls.
In upcoming scenes, he and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) will trawl the streets of Leeds after the broken dad has a dream that his beloved teenage daughter is dead.
At the start of next week, Marlon will be incredulous when Mary admits that it’s a possibility that April has met that fate, reasoning that it’s been three weeks without any sightings.
Marlon is aghast and explodes, telling her that she is worse than the trolls, being April’s grandmother and giving up on her.
Distraught, he storms out of the argument, leaving Mary close to tears and Rhona (Zoe Henry) not knowing what to do.
It’s an agonising watch for fans as Emmerdale tackles the issue with the help of charity Missing People.
Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, told us: ‘Marlon has recently been struggling with his relationship with April but never imagined he would be in such a heartbreaking situation this Christmas.
‘In the coming weeks, as the search for April intensifies, we explore the emotional turmoil a family faces when a young person goes missing. We are so grateful to the charity Missing People for their invaluable help and support with this storyline.’
