Emmerdale’s Moira violently attacks Samson – and goes too far
Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) went to various lengths to get her son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) out of prison, and while he’s now a free man, it doesn’t mean she’s about to forgive who put him in there in the first place.
The Dingle/Barton matriarch violently lashes out at Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) in scenes set to air next week, as she struggles to see his family rally around him as he prepares for his plea hearing.
As fans of the ITV soap will know, Matty was wrongfully imprisoned after Samson told the police that Matty stabbed him in an unprovoked attack, when in reality, it was an accident caused by Samson’s evil friend Josh (Osian Morgan).
Despite Moira’s best efforts to get Samson to tell the police the truth, he long resisted doing so, even getting Moira and her brother Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) arrested for kidnapping him.
But having now owned up, Samson knows he’s heading to prison and his father Sam Dingle (James Hooton) asks cousin Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to give him a pep talk about life inside.
With Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) having overheard the conversation, Sam is later horrified to find Cain battering and goading Samson – but it soon becomes clear Cain is actually helping him prepare for prison, fearing the other inmates will eat him alive.
Moira witnesses their ‘altercation’, however, and is fuming to see her husband larking around with the lad who put her son in prison.
Branding Samson a ‘thug’, she grabs his face hard, and her concerned family suddenly realise she’s about to go too far.
Will Moira ever be able to forgive Samson? And will he go down?
