Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley reflects on heartbreaking family death: ‘Miss you every day’
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has penned an emotional tribute to her late mother Cath.
The Mandy Dingle actress, 48, shared a throwback picture of her as a child next to her mum who was beaming from ear to ear.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the soap star wrote: ’32 years ago today my beloved mum Cath, was taken to heaven far far to young, I love you so much, and miss you each and everyday #anniversary.’
As for Lisa’s onscreen character Mandy, well she is set to take drastic measures to save her ailing business.
Mandy is harbouring some eye-watering debts, completely unbeknownst to fiancé Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
It’s threatening her business in a big way, and it’s particularly inconvenient as they have their wedding rapidly approaching.
With costs spiralling and now a honeymoon to fork out for too, Mandy doesn’t have two quid to rub together and has no plan to get herself out of the financial hole. She’s so broke, she even recently turned down a bottomless brunch in the Woolly. When Mandy turns down unlimited booze, you know something is amiss.
In desperation, she sneakily slips a £20 surcharge onto Tracy’s nail appointment.
But Gail may have the key to solve all of Mandy’s financial problems.
After a quick chat, she’s put an idea firmly in Mandy’s head – she needs to become a financial dominatrix. Boom! Mandy the Domme, AKA Madame Diamante Dales, is born. Good lord.
Mandy immediately sets up her online account and is ready to find herself a giftslave and see the cash start rolling in. But what will Paddy do when he finds out not only about Mandy’s financial ruin, but about her plans to get herself out of it?
