Crushing blow for Leyla in Emmerdale ahead of tragic ‘death’ exit
It’s been widely speculated that Emmerdale’s Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) is due to be killed off during an epic stunt in the next few weeks, but there are dark times ahead before she gets taken out.
Leyla’s potential demise after 16 years is going to change things forever, but before the big scene sees her bow out in tragic circumstances, her life takes a sad turn.
She’s been meddling in son Jacob Gallagher’s (Joe-Warren Plant) love life, which has threatened to see her ostracised from him.
He’s warned her, but she’s not listened. She’s also a bit too outspoken for her own good, having pushed others away in her life.
Her love life is non-existent having never really got over her break up with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson). There are very few people in Leyla’s corner.
With Jacob’s romance with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) taking off, Leyla is left trying to find something to fill the void of no longer being needed.
She pitches a Valentine’s raffle, but the response to her idea is one of serious underwhelm, and she’s gutted.
Leyla is further crushed when she suggests she, Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) go for food, and she’s rebuffed. Now even her closest friends don’t have time for her.
Leyla is left miserable as she wallows in her loneliness.
Would anyone even miss her if she was gone? She’ll soon find out.
