Emmerdale star Amy Walsh was delighted to see herself making an unexpected appearance on another show this week.

The actress, who plays Tracy Metcalfe in the ITV soap, was very excited when she was the subject of a question on The Chase.

Amy shared a screen grab from an episode of the ITV quiz show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, which featured the question: ‘In Emmerdale, the character Tracey Robinson is played by the sister of which member of Girls Aloud?’

Amy is, of course, the younger sister of Kimberley Walsh.

‘I’ve made it,’ Amy posted on her Instagram Stories.

Along with a brother called Aaron, Amy and Kimberley also have another famous sister Sally Walsh.

Sally appeared in Emmerdale years before Amy, playing the character of Lyn Hutchinson between 1997 and 2000.

Kimberley previously told of how Emmerdale bosses turned her down for a role on the ITV soap.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, she said: ‘I auditioned for it in the past, but they haven’t gone for the hat-trick.

‘It would be funny to go in for a couple of episodes, but that’s definitely Amy’s thing, and I’m happy to leave it to her.’

She added: ‘Any soap is just so full-on and a lifestyle choice, which I just can’t really do right now.’

Amy is also married to former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith, who played serial killer Gray Atkins.

The couple share a three-year-old daughter called Bonnie May.
