Charity stunned in Emmerdale as she makes a huge discovery after Home Farm invasion
When Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) returned to Emmerdale, it didn’t take Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) long to learn he was back in the village.
After a few weeks, Joe turned his attention to distant brother Noah (Jack Downham). He claimed he wanted to rebuild their relationship, but Charity reckoned he had an ulterior motive.
There’s every possibility Charity is right about Joe getting Noah on side for another reason. Shortly after his return, it was confirmed Joe was hiding a secret about his health. He takes painkillers to help ease the symptoms, but hasn’t really told anyone the full truth about what’s going on.
As a result, it’s left many fans of the ITV soap wondering if he’s perhaps fixing the relationship with Noah just because he needs an organ donor.
One person who knows a little about Joe’s health problems is Dawn (Olivia Bromley), who found him slumped at the wheel of his car a few days ago.
In upcoming episodes, Joe continues to try and withdraw from the amount of painkillers he’s been consuming. He does it in an attempt to get close to Dawn, and is encouraged to realise he’s making some progress.
Their moment is interrupted due to the arrival of Kim. She clocks onto Joe’s run-ins with Dawn, but he uses his painkiller story to quell her suspicions – and it works.
Later, Joe and Dawn are involved in another heated moment. It leads to them kissing but just as they head upstairs, they fail to spot Charity sneaking into Home Farm.
