Caleb’s explosive revenge in Emmerdale as he discovers Cain and Ruby’s sex scandal
As Emmerdale’s Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) stared down the barrel of a gun, he tried to use the art of distraction to save his own life by telling Caleb Miligan (William Ash) that his brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) had been sleeping with his wife.
It backfired, Caleb had no inclination to believe the words of a paedophile clutching at straws while facing imminent death, and he died anyway. But for Caleb, the penny is about to drop.
It’s Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) who inadvertently blows her mother’s cover when Caleb finds out that Steph has been on contraception most of her life.
This is significant because the day after Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Cain secretly slept together, Caleb was surprised to find a morning after pill in the rubbish.
Ruby deflected by claiming it was Steph’s after a night with Ross. But now is Caleb knows that was a lie.
He realises that the pill was Ruby’s and that, sickeningly, Anthony was telling the truth. His new belief is compounded by Steph claiming that she saw an awkward interaction between Cain and Ruby.
He’s not sure what’s worse, that his wife was having an affair with his own brother, or that smug Anthony was right. Caleb breaks down in the toilet at the magnitude of this realisation.
When Cain later lies about his interactions with Ruby, Caleb knows for certain it’s true.
But Caleb holds his tongue – instead of attacking his brother, he comes up with a much sweeter, much darker plan for revenge.
One that will involve him making certain Cain will pay in the most awful way.
We also know that there is a huge stunt heading for the Dales which will see a limo plunge into an icy lake. There are two limos heading on the night out – one full of all the women, and one full of all the lads.
Caleb offers to chauffer the lads in a bid to stay as far away from Cain as possible.
When Caleb gets distracted, he swerves off the road. Will Cain receive cold revenge twice?
