Emmerdale stars warn frozen lake death crash is ‘very final’ for some
Valentine’s night ends in absolute disaster in upcoming Emmerdale episodes, as a night out in two limousines ends with a terrifying crash on to a frozen lake.
The spectacular stunt will lead to more than one life hanging in the balance, and we’ve already seen a trailer that showed the literally chilling sight of an unknown person trapped beneath the ice.
Dominic Brunt and Joshua Richards, who play Paddy Kirk and his dad Bear Wolf, set the scene for us about what happens.
‘There’s a big night out,’ Joshua said. ‘Paddy and I and all the others get all dressed up in our tuxedo for a big night out with all the lads. Meanwhile, all the lasses are also going out.’
‘They have managed to get two limousines for the night – it is Valentines and we are all going out for a big bash,’ Dominic explained, adding, ‘There are two crashes.’
The limousines, one won for the night by Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) in a raffle and the other hired by Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), are heading out for an evening of partying.
‘I don’t actually know the destination because we never get there,’ Dominic told us.

‘I think we are driving around and in the limousine we have got drinks so it is a night out in the limo – so I guess there is no actual destination. Well, there is a destination. A very final destination…’
Ominously, Joshua added, ‘Yes – it’s very final.
‘To start off they are just driving. They have lots of drinks, banter and toys to play with. They are in the limo chatting away until it all changes, there is a big swerve and an accident. And then one of the cars is left in extreme danger.’
The audience will be left not knowing which car is in the most peril, and who could be most at risk.

‘It is very dramatic,’ Joshua said. ‘These are a very dramatic set of episodes and I can’t wait for the audience to watch them.’
Dominic agreed, telling us,
‘I think these are definitely some of Emmerdale’s most dramatic episodes that we have created for a long time. And it is very tense. And of course very cold!! The lake they created was amazing.’
With a number of the regular cast members such as Roxy Shahidi, Lesley Dunlop and Paula Lane said to be leaving soon, could one of them be meeting her icy doom in the lake?
It’s been speculated that Roxy’s exit story will be Leyla’s death with a source saying, ‘She’s really excited about her meaty exit storyline, which will see her character Leyla die on screen. She’d rather go out in a blaze of glory and be remembered.’ This would certainly fit that bill.
Or will there be another twist to the story?
‘I think it’s going to be exciting,’ Joshua Richards confirmed. ‘It’s going to be an odd night and things may happen…’
