Emmerdale stars confirms ‘mindblowing’ aftermath of icy stunt that will claim lives
William Ash and Laura Norton have teased what’s ahead in the aftermath of Emmerdale’s icy lake stunt.
The start of next week will pick up the drama after two limo crashes. In one vehicle, eight females and in the other, eight males. Their exciting evenings were planned largely as a result of Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
He wanted to win the raffle being held in the pub so he could propose to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), but had to act fast when Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) won the limo prize instead.
Liam managed to get his hands on another limo, which left Kerry and her pals in one, and Liam and his mates in the second.
While the atmosphere is chaotic as they all set off, the groups are having a lot of fun. Sadly though, it doesn’t take long for the men and women to face separate problems, leading to utter disasters.
‘It was really exciting because we were filming at night’, Caleb Miligan star William Ash said, hinting at what’s still to come.
‘We were doing night shoots, which, although it is kind of really hard work we don’t get a chance to do that a lot on Emmerdale. So we felt like naughty school kids, being allowed out of school. And there’s all that atmosphere, you know, an exciting atmosphere.

‘It is really exciting filming at night. But also, for this block they got all the toys out, they spent a lot of money, or it certainly seemed like they spent a lot of money on all the special fx and the equipment, and the actual stunt itself.’
Noting what’s ahead in the aftermath, which will feature one limo stuck in the middle of a frozen lake, Will revealed: ‘The aftermath of the stunt is mind blowing when you see it. It felt really real. It was amazing to be part of it and lives will be in peril.’
Also letting us know of what to expect was Laura Norton, who plays limo passenger Kerry Wyatt.
‘When a soap does a big stunt week like this. It’s amazing to be a part of it. The team work, the camaraderie, the collaboration made it a really bonding experience’, she said.
‘All working on night shoots together and it’s such a fab group of actors an absolute pleasure to be part of. The outcome is going to affect so many in the village as well. The aftermath is going to cause huge ripples. I have seen some stunning acting during this block from my fellow actors and I cannot wait for the audience to watch.
‘I’m so proud to have been in these episodes although it’s bittersweet – as lives are very much in peril and that means some tears have been shed whilst filming…’
