Two limos have crashed in Emmerdale, putting the lives of over 15 residents in danger.
Yesterday, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) won the Take a Vow raffle, with the grand prize being a night out in a limo. While Kerry was thrilled, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) wasn’t, as he was hoping to win so he could propose to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) during a romantic evening together.
Not wanting to give up, Liam managed to organise another vehicle, but then lied and said it was for a lads night out when he discovered Chas would be spending her night with Kerry and the girls.
Suzy (Martelle Edinborough) and Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) should’ve put a halt to things when they realised in tonight’s episode the limos had arrived too early. When they asked why, the man told Suzy and Leyla it was because they had picked a cheaper package – one without drivers.
It meant Charity (Emma Atkins) was assigned the role as driver for the girls’ limo, and very nearly Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) for the boys’ one.
Just as the gang prepared to leave though, Caleb (William Ash) approached Mack and said he’d drive instead. His face was full of anger, clearly planning more revenge after framing Cain (Jeff Hordley) for Anthony’s murder failed miserably.
Inside the limo, before they departed, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) caught Liam feeling down. He was gutted the proposal wasn’t going ahead, but then spontaneously decided to do something about it.
Just as Mandy (Lisa Riley) arrived, Liam hopped into the limo with the women in, meaning Mandy had to go in the vehicle with the males.
Eventually, they set off.
While out on the road, the atmosphere in both limos started off fairly light. The lads were chatting, while the women were enjoying the drinks and Kerry’s god awful stories about her past.
With the females wondering what Liam was doing in their limo, he eventually braced himself and got ready to propose.
An oblivious and tipsy Chas watched Liam, but the couple were distracted when Charity had to suddenly swerve the vehicle, claiming she had seen a fox.
Back on track, Liam asked for Chas’ hand in marriage – and her face was an absolute picture.
Meanwhile, things had suddenly changed in the other limo due to Caleb telling everyone about Cain sleeping with Ruby (Beth Cordingly). As his fury increased, so did the speed of the vehicle, which left the men and Mandy terrified.
Seconds before the credits rolled, both limos were involved in crashes. It happened quickly and we weren’t able to see exactly what happened, but it ended with one of them stuck on an icy lake.
With the ice cracking and the limo sinking, it will be a race against time as multiple characters attempt to escape.
But who won’t survive?
And who is the person trapped under the ice?
