Jimmy and Nicola in Emmerdale get devastating news about Angel from prison
Emmerdale’s Angel (Rebecca Bakes) is already quite far through her sentence at the Youth Offenders Facility, but with only a few months to go until she’s set to be released, Jimmy (Nick Miles) and Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) get news they’ve been dreading.
Angelica was slapped with an eight-month custodial sentence after she confessed to being behind the wheel of the car that crashed and killed Heath.
Her incarceration almost broke her family, and Angel had been so frightened to go that she called on Belle (Eden Taylor Draper) to coach her through it with her own experience of jail.
Before leaving, Angel broke hearts by writing Bob (Tony Audenshaw) a letter where she now felt that her life existed in two parts – life before, and life after.
She was astute enough to know her life as she knew it was over.
Sadly, she’s not wrong as it soon becomes clear that the Angelica who will be coming home is not the Angelica that left – Nicola’s biggest fear.
Not long after her arrival at the home, her parents had been shattered to receive a terrified call from their daughter about how scared she was.
That fear is now morphing into something else. Back in April, Jimmy revealed that Angel had developed an attitude and was ruffling feathers in the Secure Unit.
A cheeky bit of foreshadowing there as that attitude is the reason that Nicola and Jimmy get the call they’ve absolutely been dreading.
They discover that their beloved Angel has been in a nasty fight.
It’s not clear who came off worse, her or the other kid, but either way, this is not good news. What’s happened to Angel?
